Garmin Vivosmart 5 launched in India at INR14,990

Smartwatch maker Garmin has come up with the latest lineup of fitness trackers dubbed as Garmin Vivosmart 5 fitness tracker in India. The tracker arrives in two major colors, stress monitoring, solid battery, OLED panel, heart rate monitoring among a plethora of other features onboard.

The Garmin vivosmart 5 (S/M) is available in Mint colour variant at Garmin Brand Store as well as Flipkart, Amazon, and authorised Synergizer distributors starting as early as June 10th. The Vivosmart 5 (S/M/L) in Black colour variants will be available on the same date as well. It has arrived in India at a price tag of INR 14,990/-. As said, it will be compatible with both iOS and Android devices as a whole.

Garmin has extended its fitness tracker lineup with Vivosmart 5. The watch offers a pulse oximeter, 24/7 heart rate monitoring sensor, all-day stress tracking, body battery energy monitoring and a lot more. Apart from that, the usual stuff like calories burned, steps walked (or ran), intensity of any activities is automatically calibrated on Vivosmart 5.

Moving on, the Vivo smart 5 packs in a tiny 10.5×18.5mm OLED panel onboard which is of course, monochrome in nature. A colored display would have made a great difference when compared to its predecessors. There’s no GPS as well so yeah, you will need to tether it with your phone to aid certain services albeit wirelessly.

As mentioned above, Vivosmart 5 is a den with too many sensors around. The fitness tracker uses BMI, resting heart rate, VO2 max and other details to show you the current fitness age. Without little help from the almighty internet and fitness experts, you should be able to improve those numbers for sure.

You can dabble between 14 different fitness tracking modes right from breathing to HIIT exercise, among others. There’s a swimming mode that lets you swim with the watch on although Garmin hasn’t mentioned any IP rating for this one yet.
