The Korean tech giant Samsung is about to host its second Galaxy Unpacked event in a week, and fans are excited to see how it unfolds. Obviously, the brand will release the next-generation foldables and the brand-new Galaxy Ring. Further, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra (exclusive renders) will also debut at the launch event. However, before any official announcements, the entire spec list and price of the smartwatches have surfaced online.

Galaxy Watch 7 Specifications (Leaked)

Galaxy Watch 7

Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch will ship in two sizes. The 40mm variant will house a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen, while the 44mm version could come with a 1.5-inch AMOLED screen. Regarding resolution, the smaller version could house 330 pixels per inch, whereas the one with a larger screen could offer 327 pixels per inch.

To house the display and other internal components, the Galaxy Watch 7 might come with an aluminum case and sapphire glass (to protect the screen from minor scratches).

Under the hood, the Galaxy Watch 7 could feature the Exynos W100 chipset based on 3nm fabrication technology. Further, the smartwatch could house 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which doesn’t look like much of an upgrade from last year’s model.

The Galaxy Watch 7 (40mm) could draw its power from a 300 mAh battery cell. On the flip side, the version with a larger screen could house a larger 425 mAh battery, which should provide much better battery backup than the smaller version. Regarding charging, both models should ship with a wireless charging pad in the box.

Regarding connectivity, the Watch 7 could offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, GPS, and other options. The device will also ship with plenty of sensors, including a heart rate sensor, temperature sensor, Samsung’s bioactive sensor, an accelerometer, a light/geomagnetic sensor, and a gyroscope.

Galaxy Watch 7 Price (Leaked)

  • The Galaxy Watch 7 (40mm, Bluetooth) could cost EUR 319, which is about Rs. 28,000.
  • The Galaxy Watch 7 (44mm, Bluetooth) could cost EUR 349, or about Rs. 31,000.
  • The Galaxy Watch 7 (40mm, LTE) could cost EUR 369, or about Rs. 32,000.
  • The Galaxy Watch 7 (44mm, LTE) could cost EUR 399, or about Rs. 35,000.

Galaxy Watch Ultra Specifications (Leaked)

Galaxy-Watch-7-Ultra-2

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra could feature a 1.5-inch AMOLED screen. In terms of resolution, the screen should be comparable to the larger Galaxy Watch 7 variant. However, the smartwatch could come with a Titanium case, which differentiates it from the other models.

Under the hood, the Watch Ultra may run on the Exynos W100 SoC (3nm), which is paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Powering the wearable device could be done with a 590 mAh battery, which provides even better backup. Connectivity and sensors on the Galaxy Watch Ultra could be the same as the Galaxy Watch 7.

Something that we couldn’t understand is the presence of similar durability ratings on both the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra models. Apple, for instance, provides a 40m scuba-diving rating with its Watch Ultra. But on the other hand, the regular Apple Watch isn’t suitable for anything but shallow waters.

Per the new leak, both the regular and Ultra variants of the new Galaxy Watch will feature an IP6X rating for protection against dust and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The watches might also carry a MIL-STD-810H certification, which guarantees that the device will function well under harsh weather conditions.

Galaxy Watch Ultra Price (Leaked)

The Galaxy Watch Ultra will only be available in one variant, with Bluetooth and LTE connectivity, and will cost EUR 699, or about Rs. 62,000. It is important to mention that the Indian pricing of all the watches could be higher than what is mentioned here.
