Samsung has now officially confirmed that it will take wraps off its next generation flagship duo – Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ – at the coming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February 2018. The news came from the head of Samsung mobile division, DJ Koh.

At CES, DJ Koh was caught quoting that “its first flagship smartphone of the year will be unveiled at the trade show (MWC) in February”. He also said that the sales date will also be announced from the same stage. The MWC is the largest mobile expo held every year in Barcelona in the fourth week of February.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ Features and Specification

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ are a yearly-upgrade to Samsung S-series. Although Samsung is yet to confirm the specs of the upcoming phones, yet the initial reports suggest that the phone will come with a slew of updates.

The new Galaxy S9 and S9+ are expected to come with near bezel-less display and improved camera performance. Under the hood, the phones will run on industry’s latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 846 chipset. The phone will run on Samsung’s latest Experience 9.0 based Android Oreo out of the box.

The fingerprint sensor is also expected to be relocated to a more sensible position below the rear camera. A new DeX dock, that allows the phone to fuel full fledged PC experience, is also rumored to be revealed along with S9 and S9+.

Bixby 2.0

Alongside this Samsung also gave the update on its Bixby version 2.0. They said that its personal voice assistant will get an upgrade this year. The South Korean firm announced it at the CES and stressed that all Samsung devices will support the virtual assistant by 2020.
