Reliance Jio Prepaid Plans are now cheaper: All That Has Changed

Reliance Jio has revised its popular tariff plans and, contrary to what was expected, has made a price cut on the current market plans. The updated top-ups are now listed on Reliance’s official website and even on the MyJio app. New tariffs will be applicable from January 9 onward only for Jio prepaid users.

According to the Jio’s website, the company’s new prepaid recharge plans are priced at Rs. 149, Rs. 198, Rs. 349, Rs. 398, Rs. 399, Rs. 448, Rs. 449, Rs. 498, Rs. 509, among others. All these plans now which come with different data benefits and validity.

As part of the new plans, Jio users will continue to enjoy all major Jio benefits like unlimited calls, access to Jio Apps and free national roaming, but with more data. For instance, its basic Rs. 149 plan now offers 28GB data from the earlier 4GB data limit for 28 days.

Another major change is on their Rs. 509 plan, which is targeted for heavy users. Before the revision, the plan was offering 2GB 4G data per day for 49 days, but now it offers 3GB data/day for reduced 28 days.

Airtel and Vodafone Counter-offer

To counter Jio’s revised offer, other industry leaders like Bharti Airtel and Vodafone also made changes to their existing  plans. Airtel has extended the data and validity period of its Rs 448 plan to 82 days and the Rs 509 plan will give a validity of 91 days. Whereas Vodafone has revised Rs. 448 and Rs. 509 plans with 84GB data for 84 days and 91GB data for 91 days, respectively.
