Expect Nokia 8 India Launch Ahead Of Diwali Festival Season

Nokia’s new flagship device, Nokia 8, may hit the Indian shores earlier than what you might have anticipated. The premium handset that was launched by the Finnish company HMD Global on August 16, will be available globally by next month for 599 euros, roughly to 44,999 INR. In India, the phone will arrive right in time to cash in on the Diwali festival sales.

Apart from housing class leading hardware, the Nokia 8 excels on several other fronts. The phone includes ZEISS optics, Nokia ‘OZO Audio’ and a fancy ‘Dual-Sight’ mode that uses both front and rear cameras while streaming.

Under the hood, it packs the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 128GB/64GB of internal storage with hybrid sim slot for media expansion. The phone also features a 5.3-inch QHD AMOLED display (2560 x 1440) with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

For photography, the Nokia 8 features dual 13-megapixels sensor where the secondary sensor is a monochrome, which is an excellent choice to help improve low light performance. There is also a 13-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

The phone houses a 3090mAh battery with Quick Charging support and operates on a stock version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat with a promised Android O over the air update in the coming weeks.

The new Nokia 8 device will come four color variant – polished blue, polished copper, tempered blue and steel -all of which comes clad in 6000 series aluminum with select models featuring a glossy mirror finish.
