Dell launches new Precision 5550 Mobile Workstation in India

Dell India has announced Dell Precision 5550 Workstation Laptop as the latest mobile workstation in India on July 2. Dell claims the new workstation to be the industry’s smallest and thinnest in the category. 

Dell Precision 5550 Workstation Laptop Features

The Dell Precision 5550 Workstation sports a 15.6-inch 4-sided Infinity Edge display with a refresh rate of 60Hz, an aspect ratio of 16:10, and a 92% display-to-body ratio. The screen panel boasts a 1920×1080 HD+ resolution or a 3840×2400 UHD+ resolution with touch input. The workstation gets aluminum and carbon fiber body while weighing 1.84kg (varies depending on the model).

The Precision 5550 laptop is powered by the newest 10th Gen Intel Core or Xeon vPro processors integrated with NVIDIA Quadro T2000 graphics with 4GB of memory. The configuration can allow the workstation to handle powerful applications like CAD and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite without a flaw. The workstation endorses up to 4GB DDR4 RAM and up to 2TB Class 35/40/50 SSD storage options. The laptop runs on Windows 10 Pro operating system. 

Dell has installed its own Optimizer for Precision to give an AI platform that can automatically launch most-used apps, improve battery performance, and tune audio by adjusting background noise and speech volume.

The Dell Precision 5550 comes with infrared video webcam, a fingerprint reader on the power button, dual integrated speakers, and dual cooling fans. The battery can charge 35% in about 20 minutes using ExpressCharge Boost mode. The connectivity option includes WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, two Type-C Thunderbolt ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C port, one universal audio port, and an SD card reader.

Dell Precision 5550 Workstation Laptop Price and Availability

The Dell Precision 5550 will hit shelves at a starting price of Rs 1,29,999 excluding GST. The chassis color available for the customer in India is Aluminum – Titan Gray.
