CREO, of Teewe fame, has officially made its debut on the unpredictable pitch of Indian smartphone market and has opened its account with Mark 1. The CREO Mark 1 is priced at Rs. 19,999 and will be available on Flipkart and company’s own web portal.

The handset measures 8.7 mm around the weight, and is a bit heavy at 190 grams. There is glass on front and rear surface, which sandwiches a metal side frame. You can also have a 40 character message engraved on the side frame, only if you order from the cerosense.com. First 2000 customers can get it done for free and the others will have to shell out an unspecified price.

There is enough hardware muscle to justify the price tag, but rather than talking about raw specification numbers, CREO highlighted its Fuel OS through the launch. The OS aims to “Make Android Better” but is essentially very close to stock Android Lollipop with some additional features like Eco (answering machine), Sense (extensive, intelligent search), Notification control, Retriever (to track lost phone) and more. Some of these actually make total sense and add to the value.

The company has also promised to offer a new breakthrough feature every one month via OTA update.
