  • CMF Phone 2 Pro will be the company’s first smartphone to include a charger in the box.
  • Expected specs include a triple-camera setup, OLED 120 Hz display, 5,000 mAh battery, expected Dimensity 7400/Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.
  • The device will go official on April 28 at 6:30 PM IST, alongside a trio of CMF TWS—CMF Buds 2, and either CMF Buds 2a or CMF Buds 2 Plus.

CMF Phone 2 Pro is coming on April 28 in India, and this time, there’s a charger in the box. Nothing’s co-founder, Akis Evangelidis, confirmed it via a post on Twitter (X), showing the packaging with a dedicated charger slot. This move directly responds to backlash from the CMF Phone 1 launch last year, where the lack of a charger annoyed Indian buyers. The company is taking notes, and this becomes their first phone with a charger inside the box.

CMF Phone 2 Pro gets a charger inside the box, but only in India

CMF Phone 2 Pro

Back when CMF Phone 1 launched, buyers were frustrated about the missing charger. Nothing defended the move by citing e-waste reduction—Apple and Samsung had set the trend, and India’s 2023 e-waste regulations encouraged it. But in a price-sensitive market like India, budget phone buyers expect a complete package. The backlash was loud enough for Nothing to change course with the CMF Phone 2 Pro, which will ship with a fast charger.

CMF Phone 2 Pro: Design and Features

The CMF Phone 2 Pro keeps CMF’s signature modular design, with a screw on the back for interchangeable covers. A teaser from earlier hints at a triple-camera setup—likely a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro, an upgrade from the dual-camera system on the Phone 1.

The display is expected to be a 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and the phone will pack a 5,000 mAh battery. It will run NothingOS 3.1 based on Android 15. As for the chipset, it could be MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 (seen in the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion) or even Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.

Final Thoughts

Nothing listening to users and including a charger is a strong move. The modular design and camera upgrades look promising, but the real test will be pricing and performance (camera performance too). What do you think—does the charger make a difference? Let us know in the comments.
