Nothing’s sub-brand CMF is all set to enter the smartphone segment with the launch of the first smartphone under CMF branding. CMF Phone (1) will reportedly debut very soon in the Indian market. Latest reports claim it will be a rebadged version of Nothing Phone 2a. Details about CMF Phone (1) ‘s specs, design, color variants, and more have surfaced online.

CMF Phone (1): Shares Specs with Nothing Phone 2a
Tipster @realMlgmXyysd on X has shared details about the upcoming CMF Phone (1). The information shared significantly differs between CMF Phone (1) and Nothing Phone 2a. CMF Phone (1) is expected to sport a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is almost the same as Nothing Phone 2a’s 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The CMF Phone (1) is said to be powered by a Dimensity 7200 chipset and features 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. On the other hand, the Phone 2a comes with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage.
In terms of camera optics, CMF Phone (1) is tipped to feature a dual camera setup, including a 50MP main and a secondary sensor. At the front, there will be a 16MP selfie camera. Nothing Phone 2a also comes with a dual 50MP camera setup at the back. However, at the front, it has a 32MP sensor.
It is said to draw power from a similar 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, which is slightly lower than the 45W found on Phone 2a.
In terms of OS, CMF Phone 1 will mirror Phone 2a as it will run Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.6 out of the box. Additional features include Nothing Lock with add-ons, Bluetooth 5.3, a replaceable plastic back cover, WiFi 6, and more.
All these specs are based on engineering details and may not be 100% accurate. So, we will have to wait until CMF officially announces the device.

CMF Phone (1): Expected price and launch timeline
Speculation is rife: CMF Phone (1) will be announced in July and have a starting price of around Rs. 12,000 in India. It is said to have a simple plastic back and comes in four hues—black, green, blue, and the exclusive orange shade from CMF.
