Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3S with 5000mAh battery, Android Nougat Goes Official

After announcing Asus Zenfone VR and Zenfone 3 Zoom at the Zenevolution event at CES 2017, the Taiwanese tech company has launched Zenfone Pegasus 3S in China. The successor of last year’s ASUS ZenFone Pegasus 3 come with a beefed up battery and fingerprint sensor.

The ASUS ZenFone Pegasus 3S sports a unibody metal exterior and gets a fingerprint sensor embedded home button. The phone comes with a 5.2-inch IPS HD display with a 2.5D curved glass protection layered on top.  Asus has roped in a 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 octa-core chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB and 64GB storage option, which also supports microSD cards up to 2TB.

The ZenFone Pegasus 3S bears a 13-megapixel primary shooter with phase detection autofocus and a dual-LED flash. On the fascia, it flaunts an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G, VoLTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It packs a massive 5,000mAh battery under the hood which can offer up to 30 days of standby time and 48 hours of usage, and also supports fast charging quick refilling. The comes running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

ASUS has priced ZenFone Pegasus 3S at RMB 1,999 in China, which is approx. Rs 19,600 in India. Pricing of 32GB model will be revealed closer to its availability date. The first sale of Zenfone Pegasus 3S  will be held later this month in China.
