Asus ROG Phone 6 is slated to launch in the next few weeks and it seems that the powerful gaming smartphone is all set to get even more powerful. ROG Phone Series is a flagship offering by Asus in terms of gaming smartphones and Phone 6 is all set to continue the same trend forward.

Asus ROG Phone 6 on Geekbench
The Asus ROG Phone 6 has been spotted on Geekbench and there it boasts of being powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is the recently launched SoC from Qualcomm that aims to give a more powerful and faster performance.
When an engineering unit of Asus ROG Phone 6 with Snapdragon 8+ Gen was tested, it showed that Adreno 730 GPU ran at a 10% higher clock speed than the original Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This helped achieve a higher frame rate. The unit had 16GB RAM (with the highest expected RAM being 18GB) and is confirmed to have a 165Hz display.
Asus ROG Phone 6 Expected Specs
The ROG Phone 6 is expected to weigh 229 grams and have a thickness of over 10mm. The back panel design might see some changes but those are still unknown. The smartphone is said to sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and run Android 12 with ROG UI out of the box.
The Asus ROG Phone 6 might have 12GB, 16GB, and 18GB RAM options and storage of up to 512GB/1TB. It might pack a 6000mAh battery with 65W fast charging. The triple camera setup at the back might include 64MP main and 2 more lenses. The front might see a 12MP camera.
Asus will unveil the ROG Phone 6 on July 5 in Taipei, Berlin, and New York. It will soon come to India as well. Tipster Mukul Sharma claims that the testing of the Phone 6 Series has already begun in the country and it might retail via Flipkart.
