ASUS has launched the Chromebook CM14 model in India. The model has a touchscreen display, runs on an octa-core processor, has 128GB of memory, and has plenty of ports. With excellent battery life and plenty of app options through the Google Play Store, the Chromebook CM14 offers a tablet’s portability with a laptop’s functionality.

The ASUS Chromebook CM14 has a 14-inch LED, anti-glare screen with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It also supports touch inputs, 45 percent of the NTSC color gamut, and has a 77 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the Chromebook runs on the MediaTel Kompanio 520 octa-core SoC.

The processor runs alongside 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. Out of the box, the device runs on Chrome OS, which is based on the Chrome web browser. It is a productivity-based operating system that functions with web apps of the most popular services that run on Chrome.

However, it can handle all the staple tasks like video conferences, online classes, browsing the internet, reading mail, compiling documents on Google Docs, maintaining logs on Google Sheets, and playing light Android games. Users also get access to a plethora of apps on the Google Play Store.

Connectivity options on the Chromebook include a headphone jack, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports. Users also get a microSD card reader slot. The device also passes the US MIL-STD-810H test for military-grade durability, which tests devices for functioning in harsh environmental conditions.

Regarding battery life, the Chromebook CM14 features a 42WHrs, two-cell battery that lasts up to 15 hours on a single charge. Other features of the device include a built-in web camera (with a manual shutter), auto face exposure, a hinge that can lay flat, a spill-resistant keyboard, and a nano Kensington lock.

The Chromebook CM14 is available on Amazon India for Rs. 26.990. It comes in a Gravity Gray finish. Those with an Amazon Pay credit card can get a five percent cashback in their Amazon Pay wallet.
