The baseline MacBook Pro now comes with the vanilla M4 chip with a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine, and starts from Rs. 1,69,990. While the unified memory is upgraded from 8GB to 16GB, the base storage is 512GB. Further, the device is configurable with up to 32GB of unified memory and 2TB of SSD.
This particular variant features a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with support for ProMotion technology. However, one can opt for the nano-texture display, which reduces glare and reflections. Like other models in the lineup, the M4 MacBook Pro’s screen can show SDR content at up to 1,000 nits and HDR content at up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness.
For enhanced connectivity, the MacBook Pro features three Thunderbolt 4 ports (up to 40 Gbps), one HDMI port, one SDXC card slot, a headphone jack, and a MagSafe 3 port for charging. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth v5.3.
By default, the laptop comes with a 70W USB-C power adapter, but buyers can also opt for the 96W adapter by paying an additional Rs. 1,700. With the regular M4 chipset, the baseline MacBook Pro can provide up to 24 hours of video streaming time and up to 16 hours of wireless web browsing.

The 14- And 16-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro Models Get Thunderbolt 5 Ports
The M4 Pro MacBook Pro is available in both 14-inch and 16-inch models, with multiple versions of the processor. While the former starts from Rs. 1,99,900, the latter starts form Rs. 2,49,900.
On the 14-inch version, the M4 Pro is available in two configurations: one with a 12-core CPU and 16-core GPU, while the other with a 14-core CPU and 20-core GPU. The latter offers twice the graphical performance of the M4-powered MacBook Pro. However, buyers who want the 16-inch variant can’t opt for the low-spec M4 Pro.
Both the M4 Pro variants offer 273GB/s of memory bandwidth, which is more than twice the 120GB/s memory bandwidth on the regular M4 chip. Besides, the M4 Pro MacBook Pro features at least 24GB of unified memory (configurable up to 48GB) and 512GB of storage (configurable up to 4TB).
For even better connectivity, the M4 Pro-powered notebooks come with three Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) ports that support charging, DisplayPort, and data transfer speeds up to 120 Gbps. The usual ports, like MagSafe 3, headphone jack, SDXC, and HDMI are also present.
Both the M4 and the M4 Pro MacBook Pros support up to two external displays with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz over Thunderbolt, or one 6K 60Hz display via Thunderbolt and one 4K 144Hz display via HDMI. Buyers can also plug one 8K 60Hz external monitor via Thunderbolt or one 4K 240Hz via HDMI.
