Apple to open official stores in India in April 2023 in Mumbai and Delhi

Apple’s store in India might soon become a reality as the California-based tech giant is planning to launch at least 2 stores in the country in the next few months. In the past, Apple has postponed the opening of stores quite a few times, but this year the company started hiring staff in January which indicates that the plans are solid this time. Reports claim that Apple will open 2 stores in India and they will be in Mumbai and Delhi.

Apple First flagship store to open in Mumbai

Reports claim that Apple is all set to launch its 1st flagship store in Mumbai in April 2023. The store will be a part of Reliance Industries’ premium Jio World Drive mall spanning 22,000 square feet. The store is set to match the grand level of stores in LA, NYC, Beijing, Milan, and Singapore.

The second store will reportedly come to the capital, New Delhi. It is said to be located in Select Citywalk Saket, South Delhi. Although it will be smaller in comparison to the Mumbai store covering an area of 10,000 square feet, the experience will be no less. The Delhi store is said to open in April end or June, after the inauguration of the Mumbai store.

Sources claim that the fit-outs are completed for both stores, the Delhi store being done before the Mumbai store, but since Mumbai one is a flagship store, it will open first followed by the Delhi store.

Apple itself has not confirmed when the stores will actually launch. Reportedly the opening date will be based on the availability of global Apple executives. Even CEO Tim Cook is expected to be in India for the opening since India is becoming a huge market for Apple. If the store is actually opening in April, then we will surely get to hear more about it soon.
