Cupertino-based Tech Giant Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 15 Series in 2023 which will reportedly include 4 iPhones- iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro & iPhone 15 Pro Max. Months ahead of the official announcement, various details regarding the battery size and color variants have surfaced online, courtesy of a report by 9to5Mac. According to the report, iPhone 15 models will get new color options and have bigger battery sizes. Read on to know more.

iPhone 15 Series to get Bigger Batteries

A recent report by 9to5Mac claims that iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro lineups will get bigger batteries this time around. The biggest change is expected for the vanilla iPhone 15, but other models will also get larger batteries. The information first surfaced on Weibo and was spotted by ITHome. Here are the battery sizes according to reports-

  • iPhone 15- 3877mAh (18% increase)
  • iPhone 15 Plus- 4912 (13.6% increase)
  • iPhone 15 Pro- 3650mAh (14.1% increase)
  • iPhone 15 Pro Plus- 4852mAh (10.9% increase)

If these come out to be true, then they will be significant changes for the iPhone 15 series. The battery depends on its size as well as the chipset being used and this time iPhone 15 Series is expected to get an A16 Bionic chipset for the standard and an A17 Bionic chipset for the Pro series. A combination of a top-of-the-line chipset and a slightly increased size will surely make the battery life better on the iPhone 15 Series.

Apple really needs to work on increasing the battery size as the previous generations have been disappointing in terms of battery life getting an upgrade.

Apple iPhone 15 Series: Expected New Colors

Earlier in February, 9to5Mac claimed that the Apple iPhone 15 Pro will come in a new dark red color option. Now, a new leak has almost confirmed this news via a post on Weibo. iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are also expected to be available in a new green color option.

This is the same account that confirmed the Deep Purple color for iPhone 14 Pro, so its news can be reliable. The dark red shade is called crimson and it might be slightly lighter than the deep purple seen on iPhone 14 Pro.

The green color will be similar to the green of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 as these devices were available in a Mint Green shade. Some mock-up renders have also been shared by 9to5Mac that show off how the new colorways might look like.

The 3 color options for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be Light Blue, Pink, and Green. The shades for iPhone 15 Pro will be interesting as they will also be made from Titanium, which was used in Apple Watch earlier.

Apple usually tests loads of color options for its devices before it actually brings them to the table, so we will have to wait for a few more months to find out what the brand actually zeroes in on. Till then stay tuned to this space for all the updates on this.
