Apple iPhone 14 series is scheduled to arrive in the fall this year which means we still have around 7 months for its launch and that’s a long time. However, leaks have already mushroomed and the rumor mill is churning more every day. The latest to arrive in the market is about RAM upgrades. Both iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will arrive with 8GB of RAM instead of 6GB variants.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro & Pro Max To Get More RAM

According to an insider source based on Korea’s supply chain, both the top-level iPhone 14 devices will carry an 8GB RAM variant which gives it an edge over the 6GB RAM integrated on both iPhone 13 Pro models. This gives a much-needed upgrade to the Pro models. It is important to note that both iPhone 14 and 14 mini will reportedly upgrade to 6GB RAM, a boost from 4GB RAM on both iPhone 13 and 13 mini.

Apart from the RAM upgrades, both iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are reportedly slated to get 256GB as a base storage variant instead of a 128GB one. Although this could make both the iPhones a tad bit pricier, it is something Pro users are likely to opt for given the fact that there’s no expandability and that you will be paying a premium for the phone anyways.

According to the sources, Apple has begun combating the aggressive Android smartphone market that now has phones with RAM variants up to 16GB. Since the upcoming iPhone 14 series carry a few major upgrades over the predecessor, the increased RAM is needed to set off any lag in performance.

The iPhone 14 Pro models are expected to get a hole-punch and pill-shaped cut-outs rather than a regular notch. It will also see an all-new design. Apart from that, ProMotion will be huge along with the largest megapixel camera sensor on iPhones to date. All these features will need more RAM and since the upgrade is already, iPhone 14 series will surely get some of the best upgrades compared to its predecessors.
