Apple iPhone 14 series is slated to arrive this fall which means there are still 8 to 9 months left before we can see iPhone 14 series. However, the latest report confirms that Apple has entered into the iPhone 14 Pro trial production stage which is a precursor to mass production.

According to the report, Apple has begun trial production of iPhone 14 Pro where the model is produced on a small scale to test if the design and production on a mass scale are viable or not. It also enables Apple and its various suppliers and assembly partners to ascertain the viability of the materials needed to produce the iPhone as well as the bill of materials needed to produce. Trial production also strengthens quality checks and assurances as any issues that might come in mass production can be tackled at this point.

Apple usually enters trial production in mid-to-late February and since iPhone 14 Pro has already entered the same, it is a safe bet that the design is official. For those who just had glowing stars in their eyes, it is to be noted that the design and specifications of iPhones are a closely guarded secret which means it is pretty difficult to get a peek into it although that doesn’t stop any leaksters from leaking info in the later stages.

It is noted that Luxshare, which won 3% orders of iPhone 13 Pro in 2021, didn’t receive any production service order at the time of writing this. This means Apple could appoint Luxshare to standard models while other assembly partners will take on iPhone 14 Pro models given the fact that these are pretty heavy on specs.

iPhone 14 Series: Some Design Changes Are Expected To Follow

Talking about the changes, the iPhone 14 series will surely attract a few changes. It is reported that the notch is going away and will be replaced by a punch-hole cut-out. On the other hand, the TrueDepth sensor would need a separate punch-hole cut-out as well while other sensors will be camouflaged within the top bezels.

The rear camera bump might look inspired by Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra’s flushed camera setup which looks pretty amazing. The specs would change a bit as well including the obvious chipset enhancement i.e. A16 Bionic chipset along with others. There’s iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max in the making so do keep reading this section for more updates on the upcoming iPhone 14 series.
