Ever since 5G connectivity has rolled out in India, companies like Jio and Airtel have made it available for many cities one after the other. Now, Apple iPhone users in India will also be able to get 5G connectivity as the company is all set to roll out the iOS 16.2 Beta update that will come with the software required to access the next-generation networks in the country. Apple has made the public beta update available for testing for a month for select users. After users download this update, they will be able to see the 5G options in network settings.

Why Beta Update?

By rolling out a Beta Update for iOS 16.2, the tech giant wants to collect feedback about the network quality and solve any issues before the final software update is rolled out for all. 5G network promises to give users access to faster download speeds and low latency.

The government of India pushed Apple and other smartphone players to roll out 5G for the users and this made Apple promise to roll out the update by December. The Beta update was rolled out in November and is still working.
