Over the past few months, Tecno has reportedly worked on a new foldable smartphone, the Phantom V Flip. While we’ve already seen the phone’s specifications leak online, an alleged protective case listing unveils the new circular cover display.

Tecno Phantom V Flip Protective Case Listed On Alibaba

Alibaba, the Chinese e-commerce platform, has listed several protective cases for the unreleased Tecno Phantom V Flip. The listing reads, “Tecno Phantom V Flip Aramid Fiber Phone Case Ultra-Thin,” with a price tag of $10.94. While the listing doesn’t reveal anything about the unreleased smartphone’s specifications, it gives us a good look at its design.

As seen in the case images on Alibaba, the Tecno Phantom V Flip could feature an unusual design. Unlike the current generations of flip phones in the market, such as Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, the Tecno Phantom V Flip could feature a circular cover screen display surrounded by camera sensors (and flash) on one side. In the images, the display shows a date and time.

The cutouts on the case suggest that the phone may have the power and volume buttons on the right side, while the bottom panel could feature the USB-C port. It is also evident that the phone has a punch-hole cutout on the front panel. The case is available in two variants: one that leaves the circular camera ring open while the other that covers the ring around the cover display (with precise openings for the cameras and flash).

Previously, reports have claimed that the Tecno Phantom V Flip could come out in October 2023. The smartphone might run on the Dimensity 1300 SoC with 8GB of RAM. The case images also align with claims about the phone shipping with a dual-camera setup, including a 64MP primary sensor and a 32MP ultrawide sensor. Last but not least, the smartphone could debut with a 4,000 mAh battery that supports 45W fast wired charging.
