In preparation for the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya today, both Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) have revealed significant improvements to their network connectivity in the city. The telecom giants have bolstered their infrastructure to ensure comprehensive coverage of vital locations, including the airport, railway station, bus stands, prominent landmarks, hotels, and various other key venues across Ayodhya.

Airtel Network Rework In Ayodhya

Airtel has taken proactive measures by deploying extra network sites, implementing mobile cells on wheels, and laying optic fiber cables to ensure complete coverage throughout the entire city. This strategic initiative aims to prevent any disruption to voice and data services during the crucial period surrounding the inauguration of the Mandir. In particular, Airtel has installed additional sites and BTS (Base Transceiver Station) to extend coverage to the Mandir and its adjacent areas.

Airtel Fiber has been strategically implemented to provide high-speed data coverage to specific areas. The telecom network has introduced Cell on Wheels (CoW) units in key locations such as Ayodhya Dham, Ayodhya Cantt, Ram Bhadra, Brahmakund, Guptar Ghat, Parikrama Marg, Highway, Airport, Katra railway station, Bus stand, and Ramprasth Park. In addition to technological enhancements, Airtel has bolstered its workforce, including network engineers, to guarantee uninterrupted service throughout Ayodhya, ensuring stability during heightened demand periods.

Vi Prepration For Ram Mandir Inauguration

Vi has undertaken significant advancements in its network infrastructure, undertaking upgrades in various key areas across Ayodhya city. This initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the government, and local authorities including the Ayodhya Development Authority, the Department of Public Work, the Airport Authority, and the Police, facilitated expedited approvals for tower placement and streamlined the movement of material and manpower.

In its efforts to enhance network capabilities, Vi has fortified coverage, expanded capacity, and improved backhaul connectivity. This comprehensive approach involves augmenting the network across various spectrum bands. Vi’s initiative includes the addition of new sites and the enhancement or repurposing of L2100 spectrum capacity in strategic locations such as Ayodhya Railway Station, Ram Mandir Campus, the Airport, the Railway Station, and the connecting highways to Lucknow and Varanasi. These enhancements aim to provide residents and visitors with improved connectivity, ensuring a seamless communication experience across Ayodhya.
