When HMD Global-owned Nokia unveiled its new flagship smartphone, Nokia 8, prominently highlighted its dual-site camera feature – nicknamed as ‘Bothie’. The feature combines both the rear and back cameras in a single frame and splits the screen to house two viewfinders, thus allowing you to click images and video from both the cameras, simultaneously.

With ‘Bothie’ feature you can share both sides of the story in one go rather than singularly doing so by switching the cameras. Interesting, isn’t it?

Indeed, but what is more interesting here is that you can mimic and experience the same bothie feature on your present smartphone with these cool free apps.

4 Apps That Can Make Your Smartphone a Bothie

FrontBack

FrontBack is an excellent choice if you are looking to add the Bothie feature to your smartphone. The app allows you to combine two images – clicked from front and back cameras – into one single photo with just a tap.

The app also gives you the benefit to edit and add filters to the image, and even share it on your social media accounts like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as to the apps own news feed. The app is available on both Android and iOS platform.

Bothie 2

The Bothie 2 app, instead of dividing the screen into the half, captures a picture in picture effect, same as in video calling apps. The app is very serene, simple and easy to use. You can also direct share the image on Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and Instagram.

phoTWO

The app is available in both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Just like the above-mentioned apps, the phoTWO app also combines front and back camera photos into one. However, instead of using a split screen view the app will give you a picture in picture view. Also, the app allows you to edit the photos within the app.

Front Back Camera – Dual Selfie Camera Effect

This is another app that you can use to add a Dual-Site camera feature to your smartphone. The Front Back Camera app is very simple and easy to use. The app gives you the option to shoot and combine the two images into one, either in portrait and landscape form.

Once you do that, it immediately gives you the option to add filters to your photo and socialize via social media channels. The app is available only for Android users.
