Most recently, we did an article on everything to expect from the Bharat Mobility Global Expo (January 2025). In the article, we mentioned how Skoda is gearing up to unveil a couple of vehicles for the Indian market. Out of all the models the Czech automaker plans to reveal in the country, the Skoda Superb is interesting, primarily because the company has decided to sell the vehicle as a full import.

2025 Skoda Superb Design

The fourth-generation Skoda Superb debuted globally in 2023. The vehicle’s exterior is more sleek and stylish than the outgoing model, courtesy of the brand’s Modern Solid design language. As seen on the second-generation Kodiaq, the upcoming Superb will get the smart dial control and the 13-inch infotainment screen on the dashboard.
2025 Skoda Superb Engine Options
Underneath its sharp exterior, the new Skoda Superb could feature a 2.0 TSI turbo petrol engine that produces either 204hp or 265hp of peak power. There could be a diesel engine as well, perhaps the 2.0 TDI engine that produces 193hp of peak power. Globally, the top petrol version of the vehicle comes with an all-wheel-drive configuration, but that might not be the case for the Indian unit.

2025 Skoda Superb Will Be Sold As A Fully-Imported Unit

What’s concerning, however, is that the upcoming Skoda Superb will be sold as a fully-imported unit in India. Although this isn’t something new, it means that the price of the Skoda Superb isn’t coming down anytime soon. This is also due to the shifting of the car’s production from Czechia to Volkswagen Group’s plant in Slovakia, and the latter can only produce complete vehicles.
It is important to mention that the brand could not sell the imported units of the current-generation Skoda Superb, which is why one could find it at exceptional discounts. The discounts, interestingly, brought down the price of the imported units to the ones that were manufactured in the country.

Currently, the Skoda Superb costs Rs. 54 lakhs (ex-showroom) in India. However, the vehicle’s on-road price comes to around Rs. 62 lakhs. Given the fourth-generation Skoda Superb could cost more, it won’t surprise us if the on-road price comes to around Rs. 70 lakhs.
