The iconic Maruti Suzuki Brezza is due for upgrades for a long time and now, the company is reportedly working on a new generation of this compact SUV. It is highly anticipated that the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will launch later in May or June 2022 with an overhauled engine and some other advanced features.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza details (expected)

According to a report from Autocar India, Maruti will be bringing a new 1.5-liter K15C DualJet petrol engine into the refreshed Vitara Brezza lineup. It is the same engine configuration that the maker has confirmed to employ in its upcoming MUVs including the Ertiga facelift and XL6. The existing Brezza uses the old 1.5L K15B petrol engine while the automatic model is infused with Smart Hybrid technology.

The new Brezza will also get a 6-speed automatic gearbox which the company claims to provide better fuel efficiency and power when paired with the DualJet technology. The company is also said to bring CNG-powered compact SUVs to tackle the soaring fuel prices in the country.

The 2022 Vitara Brezza will borrow the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the newly launched 2022 Maruti Baleno. It will also include an electric sunroof, SmartPlay Pro+ software, 360-degree cameras, and six airbags for better safety in top models. The SUV car will be manufactured using stronger steel body architecture.
