2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Launched: Check Price and Key Highlights

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled a redesigned version of Baleno 2022 in India. The new hatchback car arrives with several internal and external upgrades while continuing to use the same powertrain. The new Baleno will be available in 6 colour choices, which would include NEXA Blue, Luxe Beige, Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Opulent Red and Grandeur Grey. The company has revealed that it has received over 25,000 bookings for the 2022 Baleno premium hatchback so far.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022 Pricing

The base Sigma variant of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been priced at Rs 6.35 lakh that goes to Rs 9.49 lakh for the highest automatic Alpha model. The company is currently taking advance booking for the newly launched Baleno 2022 in the country at a token amount of Rs 11,000. It has also announced a subscription model with plans starting at Rs 13,999 per month. It comes in six colour variants.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022 Features

The manufacturer has brought the new Baleno with a dimension similar to the older version with a rebadged bumper and facelift design. The grille on the front gets a slimmer and elongated adjustment with a chrome finish. It comes with a big headlight that includes three-element DRLs, a projector, and a central lamp. The fog light is given at the bottom side.

It comprises 16-inch alloy wheels with a diamond-cut design. The car offers four 360-degree cameras on the front grille, rear, and side mirrors. The tail light also gets a size enhancement with a stylish reflector. The use of chrome can be seen on the bumper and door handles giving an exquisite design.

On the interior, Maruti Baleno comes with some major upgrades giving it a premium feel. The dashboard now sports a larger touchscreen infotainment system including a 9-inch Smartplay Pro panel for clear visibility. The new head-up display works with a push of a button to show information like speed, fuel warning, gear number, and other details. 

The new Baleno 2022 allows Suzuki Connect app and other over 40 connectivity options for a host of features and Amazon Alexa voice assistant. The company has provided AC vents for the first time with a sliding armrest and charging ports at the rear. The new hatchback offers up to six airbags for better safety.

Coming to the engine, Maruti Baleno arrives with a 1.2L VVT motor that includes the standard five-speed manual transmission and an optional five-speed AMT technology. The manual offering is claimed to offer a mileage of 22.3 kmpl and the AMT will go to 22.9 kmpl.
