2022 Kia Seltos facelift X-line to launch soon; spotted on road

Kia is gearing to upgrade its Seltos 2019 model globally and in India as well. The refreshed model will be referred to as the 2022 Kia Seltos facelift version and will belong to the X-Line range. The anticipation of its arrival is growing heavily as the compact C-segment SUV has been spied in South Korea.

The test mule of the upcoming 2022 Kia Seltos facelift X-line has been reported through a Korean micro-blogging site. The spied images of the compact SUV can be seen camouflaged revealing the major design trims. Let’s get into the details.

2022 Kia Seltos facelift X-line feature

The 2022 Kia Seltos can be seen in white paint for its exterior body and is said to follow the company’s new design theme called Opposites United. The facelift Seltos comes with star-shaped design alloy wheels in dual colour tone and seems to bear a 17-inch combination. 

The front grilles appear more like a horizontally-combed design rather than the existing cross-cut grilles. The headlamps are expected to arrive with LED lights with a slight design change. While the tail-lights can get slimmer trim with reprofiled rear bumpers.

The interior design detail is not yet revealed but it is also anticipated to get some prominent upgrades. It could arrive with a new dashboard-style, dual-tone seat upholstery, upgraded AC vents, and advanced safety measures. Also, the Seltos facelift could get a large sunroof in the top model while a single-pane electric sunroof in other variants.

The South-Korean vehicle maker could bring the 2022 Seltos with the existing transmission options that comprised of a 1.5L NA petrol engine, a 1.5L CRDi diesel powertrain, and a 1.4L GDi turbo petrol transmission engine. The new Seltos could ship with 6-speed or 7-speed CVT, DCT, or clutchless iMT gearboxes.

While there is no official confirmation regarding the launch date of the 2022 Kia Seltos, it is expected to see daylight later this year.
