My first large home appliance online purchase
I bought this product after a lots of research vising Bosch store, local dealer shops and finally the online retail. The best of the deal was provided by Flipkart, it's not just the deal but the service too. They didn't disappoint at all; met all expectations in terms of delivering the product in a day's time, following up on the installation with Bosch and my availability and got it done within 48 hours of delivery from the company's technician. I was worried about the product being dented, old, used blah blah however nothing like that its delivered to me as packaged by Bosch and without any issues and also lots of these dealers puzzled me on warranty, nothing like that happened..I could register the product online through Bosch and the warranty is, as good as, it should be with Bosch store or any of their dealers locally available. Just note that you might have to spend an extra buck on buying the w/m cover and a water softener unit which I purchased through the service technician altogether for an approx. of Rs.3000. Now, coming to the product aspects of the w/m; we were using IFB the then IFB Bosch Front loader (5.5 Kg) for the last 16+ years which has normal wear and tear as expected. I got my older one exchanged here and got a very good deal out of it. We are family of 4 and this time I made a conscious decision of choosing a machine with slightly higher capacity i.e., 7 Kg so that the we can avoid damaging the machine with the last minute extra loading at times. The wash quality is definitely very good given our experience with our last machine which went somewhat bad in its wash quality over a period of time. The only concern I understood from various people about Bosch machines is that they would need high water pressure and given my scenario being in an apartment didn't pose any issue with the choice. Washing modes are as others too provide in almost all the front loaders available today in the market however the interesting one is the "Speed Perfect" mode which reduces the wash time to almost half if the load is 3.5 Kg and that too with the reduced detergent requirement without sacrificing wash quality. The average time under this mode is ~1 hour and on full load it's ~2 hours and gets extended to ~3 hours in case if you are planning to use the Eco-Friendly mode which would reduce your power consumption, as well as, the water intake as specified by Bosch. The machine has negligible vibrations and hardly any noise. The best part is the timer using which you can delay your wash cycle and also you can add any additional clothes into the loader which you might have missed during your initial loading. The timer is quite helpful at times when you don't want your cloths to be wet for longer after wash given that you would put them for drying based at your convenience. Given the German build, the quality is undoubtedly better than other counterparts in the market. My electricity bill remained as unaffected as earlier i.e., no additional bill post this purchase. The pre-wash option is missing which I think most of the machines has skipped these days however the wash quality is very good and the cloths are 90%-95% free from any water leading quick dry under this weather. The only tip given by the company technician is to keep the rubber housing at the door clean i.e., wiping it with dry cloth after every wash and keeping the machine open for at least 30-45 minutes post wash so as to avoid any micro-organism, moisture build-up in the machine and to keep to wash quality over years just use the drum cleaners available in the market once in a quarter using the drum-clean option made available as a wash option on the machine. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product without any issues so far and hope Bosch won't disappoint in long run as my last experience with their front loader.
