Samsung Galaxy Alpha review: Samsung's most beautiful phone yet

As beautiful as the Galaxy Alpha may be, its price leads to its ultimate downfall. The only reason you'd want to pick this over the Galaxy S5, which is available for a similar price, is that you prefer a smaller size or more solid build. But even then, this design isn't a one-and-done; you'll be able to get the same fit and finish on the Note 4 and Note Edge (albeit with larger screens). Furthermore, it's not the best sub-5-inch Android device on the market, thanks to the Sony Z3 Compact, which comes with better battery life, camera and external storage. read more →

  • Beautiful and elegant
  • Wonderful performance
  • Compact size makes it comfortable, easy to use
  • Priced too high
  • Lacks several features found in the Galaxy S5
  • Battery life is nothing special

Samsung Galaxy Alpha review - a truly desirable smartphone

There had been rumours that Samsung was planning to do a premium version of its Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone, ditching the plastic build for a metal case. As it turns out, we didn't get a metal S5, but a completely new phone in its own right, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. It's the first phone Samsung has announced to use the new metal case, although the design has subsequently rolled out to the upcoming Galaxy Note 4, too. read more →

Samsung Galaxy Alpha (AT&T)

The Galaxy Alpha is Samsung's premium smaller phone, but it doesn't get first-class specs. read more →

  • High-quality materials
  • Bright, colorful screen
  • One-handed form
  • Excellent voice quality.
  • Everything's been kicked down a notch from flagship devices. Mediocre low-light camera.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha review: The most luxurious Samsung Galaxy phone to date

The Galaxy Alpha gets a lot of things right. Its metal frame easily makes it the most luxurious Galaxy phone around and its smaller size makes it very comfortable to hold. It's got plenty of power stuffed inside and the camera can take some brilliant shots. Its big letdown is undoubtedly its screen, which needs to pack in more pixels in order to match both the premium design and high price tag.

If you can pick the Alpha up on a good deal from your network provider, then it's definitely worth checking out. read more →

  • The Samsung Galaxy Alpha's metal frame makes it the most luxurious feeling Galaxy phone to date.
  • Its more compact size makes it comfortable to use.
  • It has loads of power and its camera is great.
  • It has a disappointingly low-resolution screen, which is a particular shame given the extremely high price of the phone. It loses the waterproofing of the S5 and there's no microSD card slot for expanding the storage either.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha review

There might not be another be Galaxy Alpha, but the changes Samsung started to incorporate into its design language with its release will be seen in headline devices for the next few years.

As you can imagine it’s the design that really stands out here. The Alpha is slim, light and feels great in the hand, yet the metal band adds in extra durability and a premium finish.

  • Feels great in hand

  • TouchWiz is a pain

Awesome Smartphone. ..

Great phone with great features.I have this phone and will suggest everyone to buy it.

  • ●Even the battery is 1860Mah but still it lasts whole day(I am a moderate user)
  • ●720p display and 312ppi is awesome as the screen is only 4.7".
  • ●Awesome rear(12mp UHD) and front camera(2mp HD).
  • ●Alpha don't hangs that much as compared to others.
  • ●Sleek,Stylish,Light weight.
  • ●32gb memory (25gb available) is enough.
  • ●Metal frame and veri thin back pannel looks cool.
  • ●Easy to carry in pocket.
  • No cons...

utter carziness and nothing else

My friend got this so called great phone by experts and others and i've got many chances to use this. I just think what on earth ran into the mind of those people who preferred this phone. Asking my friend, he told me because of the elevated name the brand Samsung has got, he chose this. Well, now he's got a lesson of his life and me too that I shouldn't ever be considering this brand ever in future even though i really used to like Samsung before. Simple and straight........

  • Knowing it's got capabilities for taking videos of uHD quality and a great camera but & coming with a 12mp decent shooter is great
  • Got whole lot of sensors and stuff (no need to talk about as it has been already described by many users and other websites)
  • NFC capability
  • 32gb inbuilt storage
  • The best part is it's screen size. 4.7". Really feels great and easy to hold
  • Classy design and Corning gorilla glass 4 protection
  • It's high end processor exynos 5 octa 5430 is nowhere around the likes of snapdragon high end ones
  • Really annoying display even though it's so called AMOLED
  • Though this phone is a premium one, even though it should have got a dual sim slot considering it's INDIA
  • Though it's price now is around 20k- 23k, but Samsung has got a really bad habit of launching phones at a really unrealistic and idiotic price tag. It launched around 40k.
  • The worst part is it's battery. It's surely a joke
