Huawei Honor 7X

The fingerprint sensor is on the back, toward the middle, and within easy reach of your index finger. The camera sensors are in the top right corner, so there's little chance you'll smudge the lenses when unlocking the phone. The front of the phone is home to a 5.9-inch, 2,160-by-1,080-pixel screen.

The 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear cameras on the 7X deliver pretty standard midrange performance. That means they take good, fairly crisp shots outdoors and in bright settings, but tend to get noisy in lower light.read more →
  • Affordable Sleek build
  • Crisp edge-to-edge screen
  • Solid overall performance
  • Capable dual cameras.
  • No dual-band Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth 5.0
  • Heavy UI layer

Razer Phone Review

Razer is selling its gaming smartphones the way the company would sell a laptop: online and through big-box stores, at a high, but not unreasonable price. The 5.7-inch, 2,560-by-1,440 Sharp IGZO LCD is indeed sharp, although it isn't terribly bright. It shoots for extreme, OLED-like levels of color saturation that make games look intense, but whites don't blare.

The display's special magic is in its refresh rate: This is the first 120Hz screen on any phone, ever.read more →
  • First Android phone with 120Hz screen
  • Big battery
  • Front-facing speakers.
  • Camera has exposure problems
  • Muddy speakerphone
  • Slow LTE modem
  • Not compatible with Sprint or Verizon.

Razer Phone Review

Razer has opted for LCD technology over the brighter, more colorful AMOLED tech you’ll find in the likes of the Galaxy S8 and Google Pixel 2 XL because it has the ability to deliver higher refresh rates and frame rates. That’s ideal, of course, for 3D gaming.

The Razer Phone is packed full of power and potential, but the stumbling block is its niche appeal. Its design may not blow people away, but the super stereo speakers and gaming-focused display will appeal to some.read more →
  • Excellent speakers
  • Display tuned for gaming
  • Plenty of power under the hood
  • Camera a weak point
  • Only a handful of games
  • No headphone jack

Razer Phone Review

The Razer Phone really does deliver when it comes to gaming. While performance isn't a huge leap beyond anything we've seen to date, the high-refresh-rate screen makes even familiar games look all the more impressive, and the very configurable Game Booster easily allows users to tweak advanced settings to strike some informed performance/battery life trade-offs.

The idea of a powerful, no-nonsense smartphone running nearly stock Android sounds like an appealing one, and it would be were it not for a number of missteps.read more →

Razer Phone Review

Razer Phone sets a new bar for mobile performance (and game responsiveness) with its 120Hz screen and loud speakers, but it's not a top-tier phone in any other way.read more →
  • Smoothest Android experience yet
  • It's built like a tank
  • its twin Dolby-powered speakers blow away the competition
  • Big, speaker-filled bezels make for a bulky phone with no water resistance or headphone jack
  • No-frills camera takes iffy photos in low light
  • Among other camera quirks.
