Motorola Moto G6 Plus is a highly anticipated phone which is expected to hit Indian stores real soon. The phone is seen as the successor to last year's Moto G5 Plus which failed to compete with the likes of Redmi Notes Mi series phones. Lenovo-owned Motorola now will be banking upon the Moto G6 Plus to revive its fortune, especially in India.
Talking about the phone, the Moto G6 Plus features a 5.9-inch IPS screen with full HD+ resolution. The Moto G6 Plus display is claimed to offer 400+ PPI pixel density which means everything should appear crisp on the phone. Moto has also snapped a Corning Gorilla Glass on top of the display which will protect the display from minor scratches.
The Moto G6 Plus is equipped with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 mobile processor which is clocked at 2.2GHz. The processor is aided by a 4GB RAM and an Adreno 508 GPU that ensures it runs smoothly without any performance glitches.
Like most Motorola phones, the Moto G6 Plus also runs on the stock Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with minimum customization. As far as optics are concerned, the Moto G6 Plus features a 12MP+12MP rear camera setup aided by a dual-tone LED flash. For selfie enthusiasts, the Moto G6 Plus comes with an 8MP camera assisted with an LED flash. It draws juice from a 3,300mAh Li-ion battery which is not as massive as the Redmi Note 5 Pro but should be able to deliver decent screen-on-time. Moto also bundles its turbo quick charging feature on the phone.
The Moto G6 Plus supports most of the regular connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, 4G, 3G, mobile hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC and a micro USB 2.0. If you are curious to know whether the Moto G6 Plus supports Dual 4G Dual VoLTE feature, well the answer is no.
We expect the Moto G6 Plus price in India is to be around Rs. 15,490. Moto G6 Plus India launch is expected to take place in the month of June 18, 2018.
