Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) Review and Specifications: A Brilliant Successor

A premier Lenovo owned brand, MOTOROLA is expected to strike the market with a low budget smartphone shortly. The device called MOTOROLA Moto E 2nd gen has been announced officially. Check out the Moto E 2nd gen specifications and review below for more details. Moto E 2nd gen price in India is expected to be around 7000.

Hardware Configuration and Memory

MOTOROLA Moto E 2nd gen is powered by a Snapdragon 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and has 1 GB RAM. MOTO E 2ND GEN is expected to be available with 8 GB internal storage (expandable by micro SD card).

Camera and Display

Moving on to the camera, an autofocus 5-megapixel primary camera is a good camera. Daylight images by the MOTO E 2ND GEN are a nice view. But the absence of flash might be a real loss. In a selfie inspired environment, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera is an effective lens for video calling and selfies.

A 4.5 inch qHD display with capacitive touchscreen is boxed in the new Moto E. The display has a resolution of 960×540 pixels and provides a great visibility in all kinds of ambient light.

Software and Other Features

You can buy MOTO E 2ND GEN online at various e-commerce sites, which is juiced up with the latest Android platform, Lollipop v5.0. This is nonetheless great specification of the device. The device is also Wifi enabled along with Bluetooth v3.0 and A-GPS. Accelerometer and proximity sensors add up to the main board configuration.

Expected to be a low budget sequel of the previous Moto E, MOTO E 2ND GEN looks like a matter of interest for smartphone enthusiasts. Absence of flash and dual core processor might be the cons though.

Motorola Moto E review: Have a break!

When picking our next phone for review, we relatively get down so low on the food chain as we got with the Motorola Moto E. But given Motorola's track record of disrupting the industry, we figured this one deserves a through look. Compared to most of the other smartphones that come our way, it really doesn't have much fighting chance, but we approached this review completely understanding this sort of pricing is almost bottom of the barrel. read more →

Moto E review: Where very good meets very cheap

There's no two ways about it -- the Moto E is exciting, if not in the way most mobile buffs would like. You really shouldn't underestimate the sort of world-shaking power that can come from making something that's both very good and very cheap. So what if the spec sheet is a bit passé? For all its minor shortcomings, the Moto E still represents a level of power and quality that's become even more accessible to people the world over, and that's something worth celebrating. read more →

Motorola Moto E Review

Call QualityVoices have some distortion on both ends of the line, making it a challenge at times.Moving onto call quality, there are still certain challenges with the experience. The volume output of the earpiece and speakerphone are fine, but voices tend to have a static tone to them. As for our everyday usage, it delivers roughly 2 days of normal usage, which is pretty excellent in our books. Battery life We measure battery life by running a custom web-script, designed to replicate the power consumption of typical real-life usage. read more →
