Micromax has launched the Canvas Xpress 2 E3113 in India by holding an exclusive flash sale on Flipkart . The all-new “Canvas Series” phone has carried forward Micromax’s legacy as value for money phone makers. It packs some great features and brilliant specifications, which could really lure people with a limited budget of rupees 5000.
Camera and Display
Canvas Xpress 2 features a 5 inch IPS HD display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The display has a 294-pixel density, which makes the text appear crisp, and the colors vibrant. However, the screen has limited viewing angle and we faced difficulty while reading it from an angular position. The display comes with an added layer of Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The Xpress 2 contains 13-megapixel sensor with dual LED flash on the backside, and a 2 MP front camera. The primary camera performance appeared decent enough in our outdoor test. Nonetheless, it’s the image quality in-doors, which is a bit grainy. The primary camera also features autofocus, geo-tagging and face detection.
Design and Hardware
Canvas Xpress 2 is a basic design package with slim dimensions. The top edge of the tablet has a 3.5 mm audio jack and Micro usb port, while the screen lock button and the dedicated volume keys are located on the right edge.
Lenovo A6000 Plus inboxes a 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor accompanied by a Mali-450 MP GPU. It comes loaded with one GB RAM. It carries an inbuilt memory of 8GB, which is expandable up to 32GB by a microSD card. The device consists of a 2500 mAh Li-Po battery.
Operating System and Other Features
In the age of Lollipop OS, Canvas Xpress 2 runs on the previously generation Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. The additional features of the phone are Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS. The phone sensors include gyroscope, proximity and compass.
Verdict
The Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 ticks almost all the right boxes on the paper. It offers great value for money features with decent looks. However, unavailability of 4G and a previous generation Android dents this killer phone badly.
- Smooth Performance
- Elegant design
- Long lasting battery life
- Poor viewing angles
- No LTE support
