Honor 30s

Honor 30s comes with Kirin 820 5G chipset, Quad cameras, and 40W fast charge support. Powered by Huawei’s mid-range chipset that is also compatible with mid-range Snapdragon765 SoC, this is clearly a sign from Huawei that it is not going to stop anytime soon. Performance and Camera

Honor 30s is driven by a 7nm Kirin 820 5G chipset. It runs Huawei’s Magic UI 3.0 that’s based on Android 10. The Mali-G52 GPU coupled with 8GB RAM should deliver stable performance during applications in the background.

Honor 30s sports a rectangular bump on the rear side that features a 64MP quad-camera set up with an 8MP telephoto lens, another 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens which can snap wider shots, and a 2MP camera with depth support. A 16MP camera lies in the punch-hole which can be used for selfies and video calls. Features like digital zoom, face detection, touch to focus add more are present in the camera app. As far as the recording is concerned, either side of the camera can shoot FHD 1080p videos @30fps.

Design, Display, and Battery

Following its predecessor, Honor 20s, this new Honor 30s have a glass back finish with aluminum side frame. The measurement of the phone is 162.3x75x8.6, and it tips the bar at 190 grams. For biometrics, the phone has a mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
Honor 30s include a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a punch-hole notch. This multi-touch display has FHD+ resolution(1080x2400px) with 405 PPI. With an aspect ratio of 20:9, you get a fair display that can be a benefit for gaming and viewing.

Honor 30s draws power from a 4000mAh battery which is juiced up by a fast 40W charger.

Storage and Connectivity

The internal storage of Honor 30s has 128GB of space where apps, games, music, videos, photos, etc can be stored. Also, it has an extra card slot which expands the storage up to 256GB.

Honor 30s connectivity option includes VoLTE which delivers HD voice calling and free video calls on Jio networks without installing any app. Also, it has 3G, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth v5.1, USB 2.0 Type-C. For online navigation, it features constellations like GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and BDS.

Honor 30s sports a mid-range Kirin 820 chipset which performs decently for gaming and other counterparts. We would have preferred an AMOLED display, though.
