Google Pixel 5 is finally out here as an upgrade over Pixel 4. This is a flagship phone from Google that runs Android 11 OS out of the box. Google Pixel 5 is an upgraded version of the Pixel 4. The phone comes fitted with a 6-inch color OLED FHD+ resolution display with a punch-hole notch. On the camera side, it brings a 12.2MP dual rear camera setup and an 8MP selfie snapper inside the punch hole. Pixel 5 has a Snapdragon 765GSoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS2.1 storage. The phone is backed by a 4,080mAh battery with an 18W fast charger out of the box. Let’s read more about Pixel 5 in detail and see how good it performs.

Display and Design

Pixel 5 comes fitted with a 6-inch OLED display with a punch-hole. The panel has an FHD+ resolution of 1080x2340px with a pixel density of 432PPI. The phone has a full view display with 90Hz of a refresh rate. The display is HDR10+ compliant that offers decent pictures with vibrant colors. Pixel 5 display is protected with a layer of Gorilla Glass6 and has an always-on display feature. 

Google Pixel 5 has an aluminum back panel with aluminum frames on the side. The phone sizes 144mm in height and have an 8mm of thickness with a light bodyweight of 151 grams. This is a flagship-grade phone with ergonomic features. Google Pixel 5 is IP68 certified that prevents spills and makes it dust resistant. The pixel 5 has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security unlocks. 

Camera and Performance

Google Pixel 5 sports a 12.2MP dual rear shooter on a square camera island with a dedicated LED flash. The primary 12.2 MP has a 27mm wide lens and dual-pixel PDAF with the OIS feature. The other 16MP camera is an ultra-wide lens that has 107˚ of field view. You decent photography from this pixel phone. Also, Google has improved the Pixel 5 camera performance. For selfies and video calls, the phone has an 8MP punch hole camera. As far as the recording is concerned, you may record UHD 4K videos @30/60FPS.

Pixel 5 has a midrange gaming snapdragon765G chipset paired with an octa-core processor. This midrange chipset is likely to run demanding apps and games on default settings. Also, the SoC is upgraded over Pixel 4. The phone runs on the Android 11 operating system out of the box. For the background activities, the phone has an ample 8GB of RAM. The graphic demand of the phone is handled by Adreno 620 GPU. Useful sensors like Compass, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Light Sensor and Proximity are present.

Storage and Battery

Google Pixel 5 has 128GB of UFS2.1 internal storage which can be used to store apps, games, photos, music, etc. Also, you can share/receive files faster with UFS2.1. However, judging upon the price tag, UFS3.1 storage would be reasonable.
 
Google Pixel 5  gets charged from a 4,080mAh Li-Po battery. The battery size of the Pixel 5 phone is bigger than its predecessor Pixel 4. Google Pixel 5 supports reverse charging and comes with an 18W fast charger out of the box.

Connectivity

Google Pixel 5 has the usual sets of connectivity options that include 3G, 4G, VoLTE that enables HD voice calls and video calls on supported Jio networks, WiFi, Bluetooth v 5.0, USB v3.0 with Type-C connectivity port, NFC for sharing small amounts of payloads. For online navigation, the phone supports constellation like GPS with dual-band A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS, and BDS.
