ZTE Unveils The Axon 7s, But Keeps Most Specifications Under Wraps

Shezen-based telecommunications and equipment and systems company ZTE has made public its latest device, which is supposed to be an improved version of its Axon 7 smartphone that it first brought out last year.

The phone is a part of the company’s expansion of the Axom series of smartphones and is being said to closely stick to the specifications and features of its older counterpart, barring a few tweaks here and there.

ZTE preferred not to go too much into the specification genre and let out only the processor to be used in the so-called improved version. The Axon 7s will be coming out with a Snapdragon 821 SoC (with an Adreno 530 GPU for support), a bit better than the original Axon 7, which had Snapdragon 820.

As for the rest of the specifications, the company has left a little too much for imagination and has instigated quite a few rumors and possibilities. Primary amongst them is the RAM to be used to support the processor (the previous one had 6GB, making gossip-mongers stick to that only).

Looking at the exterior, one would find it hard to differentiate between the two as the 7s retains the 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display that the older one came with.

The company also let known it has already unveiled the third smartphone in the Axon series, which it is calling the Axon Max. It has a Snapdragon 821 processor and a 4100mAh battery.
