Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, announced on X that the YU7 SUV is set to be unveiled in June or July 2025. The company has chosen to reveal the SUV ahead of time to facilitate extensive and long-term testing without significant camouflage. This testing phase will involve comprehensive road trials aimed at identifying and resolving any potential issues promptly.

The Xiaomi YU7 Electric SUV will rival Tesla Model Y which ranges from around 29 lakh in India, so it will be priced along similar lines.
