Xiaomi Mi Max Launched: Here’s Everything You Need To Know

Back home, Xiaomi has revealed its new phablet Mi Max. The price starts from RMB 1499 onwards which roughly translate to 15,330 INR (approx.) in Indian rupees. The new phablet comes preloaded with MIUI 8 which Xiaomi also introduced at the same event. The Mi Max easily comes in as Xiaomi’s tallest smartphone till date. The Mi Max houses a monstrous 6.44-inch display fitted in a 7.5mm slim metallic body. The large screen has a running resolution of 1080 x1920 pixels. The Xiaomi Mi Max will be available in Silver, Gold and Dark Grey color options.

Xiaomi Mi Max under the hood, sports Qualcomm Snapdragon 650/652 chipsets. In the Snapdragon 650 variant four ARM Cortex A53 cores are clocked at 1.4GHz while remaining 4 high-performance ARM Cortex A72s are ticking at 1.8GHz. Whereas on the Snapdragon 652 variant top four cortex A72 cores are clocked at a higher frequency of 1.8GHz while remaining cores are ticking at 1.2GHz. To handle games, Adreno 510 GPU will come into play. Like Redmi Note 3, Mi Max also comes with a 3Gb/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128ROM varients. This extra-large phone weighs 203 grams and measures 173.1mm x 88.3mm x 7.5mm. The mighty phone is backed by a 4850mAh battery which according to the company will last for more than 24 hours.

Xiaomi Mi Max with fingerprint sensor

In the optics section, the phone comes equipped with a 16-megapxiel primary camera along with PDAF dual tone LED Flash. on the front, it features an 8-megapixel secondary camera. It also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
