Like the previous generation Mi Max, the upcoming phone will reportedly be offered in two chipset options: The cheaper variant will employ a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 with 4GB RAM while slightly costly version will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 with 6GB of RAM under the hood. Xiaomi is likely to offer up to 128GB internal storage on the phone. If reports are to be believed, it will come out of the box running on Android Nougat-based MIUI.

For shutterbugs, the Mi Max 2 will feature a 12-megapixel Sony IMX378 sensor at the back and a 5-megapixel sensor on the front. It will be aided by a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged using USB Type-C cable.
