Xiaomi fans are eagerly waiting for February 24, which is when the Chinese manufacturer is scheduled to showcase Mi 5 to the world from MWC 2016 in Barcelona. The buzz about Xiaomi Mi 5 picked up steam after Xiaomi’s Global VP, Hugo Barra published some of the snaps captured by him with Mi 5 on his Facebook page. Now some more leaks have surfaced on the internet. Allegedly, some important sides of Mi5 launch presentation have leaked which reveals almost entire specs-sheet of the phone and its features leaving space only for pricing speculation.
The leaked imaged of Mi5 power point presentation confirms that Mi5 will sport a 5.2-inch full HD display, which is manufactured by leading screen manufacturer LG. At the heart of the Mi 5 will feature a quad-core Snapdragon 820 chipset ticking at 2.2-GHz combined with Adreno 530 GPU. As per the leak, Mi 5 will be launched in two variants, the base model will come with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM while the pricey variant will have 4GB ram and 64GB inbuilt storage.
The leaked PPT slide affirms that Mi5 will feature a USB 3.0 based Type-C USB slot with quick charge 3.0 support which can tank up 80 percent battery in just 34 minutes. It flaunts a whopping 26-megapixel primary camera with PDAF, f/1.6 aperture lens and dual tone flash. There is no details mentioned about front camera and battery capacity on the leaked images. However, it does have a mention of connectivity options, which include NFC, wi-fi 802.11ad, USB 3.0 and GPS.
According to previous leaks, Mi 5 will feature a 3,600mAh battery, 8-megapixel front camera and a fingerprint sensor equipped physical home button. Rumor has it that Xiaomi will also introduce a Mi 5 Plus variant which will house a 5.7-inch 2K display while other specs will be remain same. There is also reports suggesting Xiaomi is mulling on a Windows 10 version of Mi 5.
All this aforementioned information is based on leaks and rumors and for their confirmation, we all have to wait for February 24. It is very unlikely that Xiaomi announces Mi 5 price in India and availability details from MWC podium.
