The Redmi Pro is not the lone star of the show Xiaomi hosted in China. it was joined by the all new Mi Notebook Air that’s also Xiaomi’s first ever laptop. Xiaomi’s new ultrabook comes in two sizes. The 12.5-inch model is portable and cheaper of the two and is priced at RNB 3499, while the powerful 13.3-inch variant will retail for RNB 4999.

As is customary, Xiaomi compared its Mi Notebook Air to Apple’s Macbook Air.
The Mi Notebook Air comes with a premium looking all metal design with sleek bezels measuring just 5.59mm. The full HD 13.3-inch display is laminated to reduce glare. It weighs 1.28Kgs and measures 14.8mm in thickness (And that’s less than Macbook Air). For connectivity, it packs all the necessary ports including a two USB 3.0 ports, a single Type-C slot, and HDMI port.
The Mi Notebook Air is powered by an Intel’s sixth generation i5 Dual-Core processor clocked at 2.7Ghz, 8GB DDR4 RAM, and 256GB PCIe SSD card. It gets a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 940MX GFX graphics card (with 1GB GDDR5 RAM) to meet all the graphics need (which is rare for portable Notebooks). Xiaomi claims it can tank up 50 percent of 40Wh battery in just 30 minutes and the battery can then last for a total of 9.5 hours.

There will also be a 12.5-inch display variant that is powered by an Intel Core M3 processor with 4GB RAM, 128GB SATA SSD (also expandable SSD slot). It weighs 1.07KG and offers 11.5-hours of battery life as per Xiaomi claims. Both of these ultrabooks comes with Dolby Digital Surround sound audio.
The Mi Notebook Air will go on sale in China on August 2nd onwards. There is no official word on when they will be available globally or in India.
