Xiaomi is back in the news this time with a new alleged flagship smartphone Codenamed ‘Chiron’. If what’s said is true, the rumored flagship could be one of the most powerful smartphones in the market. The latest leak furnishes details related to display, chipset and RAM.

According to the Weibo post, The Xiaomi Chiron could boast of a 6-inch display panel with a resolution of 2160 by 1080 pixels. Its display is reportedly manufactured by Japan Display Inc. (JDI), a joint venture of Sony, Toshiba, and Hitachi. Interestingly, it will have the trending 18:9 aspect ratio and will be 2160 x 1080 pixels sharp. That’s not all, it is also claimed to have a 2.5D curved glass on top. Alleged images reveal that Xiaomi Chiron seems to take design inspirations from Samsung’s infinity display. In the leaked image, only top right corner of the phone is visible and shows selfie camera, bezel-less display, and curved edges.

As per the same report, the rumored Xiaomi flagship device is likely to pack Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. On the storage front, it is likely to be offered in two options: 128GB and 256GB. Optics wise, it could hoist 12-megapixel dual shooters at back and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

In last few weeks we have read the reports that Xiaomi is working on the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2,  Mi Note 3, and an entirely new X line-up. Therefore it is a possibility that Xiaomi ‘Chiron’ flagship phone turns out to be one of them.
