Is it a perfect phone for under Rs 40,000? Well, when it comes to smartphones, there is not a perfect smartphone for everyone. The choice of smartphone is a very subjective matter and depends on the person’s needs and budget. The Xiaomi 11T Pro 5G has its pros and cons. Let’s enumerate a few reasons to buy or to not buy this smartphone.

Reasons to Buy Xiaomi 11T Pro

1. Display

The Xiaomi 11T Pro features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate support. It has a 10-bit panel supporting Dolby Vision and is HDR10+ certified. The phone claims to offer 1000 nits peak brightness. The bezels are very thin and well balanced and the display is crisp, sharp, and smooth for consuming content. There is a Widevine L1 certification too.

2. Camera

The smartphone has a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP telemacro camera. There is a 16MP front camera too. The images from the main sensor have good detailing and do not boost colors to spoil them. The portrait mode is decent and the selfies are focused on the subject. There is no OIS which is a setback, but otherwise, camera performance is satisfactory.

3. Charging

The Xiaomi 11T Pro 5G packs a 5000mAh battery which is split into two separate cells. The phone does not heat up during charging as both cells get charged individually. The best part is that it comes with 120W fast charging support and the charger comes with the smartphone in the box itself. The 120W charger recharges the smartphone from 0 to 100 in 21minutes, which means while you are freshening up, your phone will get almost completely charged. This is incredibly fast.

Reasons Not to Buy Xiaomi 11T Pro?

1. Design

The Xiaomi 11T Pro comes with a big camera module and a glass rear panel. The new Celestial Magic color variant looks okay, but slowly you realize it attracts lots of fingerprint smudges. The phone feels heavy in the hand as it weighs over 200 grams in weight (around 204 grams). It is available in white and gray colors too.

2. Gaming Performance

Xiaomi 11T Pro comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Although the Qualcomm processor can powerlift anything and everything there has been question marks over its heating and throttling issues. The Xiaomi 11T Pro also throttles over time which may hamper your gaming experience when you are indulged in AAA title. It also gets hot around the camera when you put the phone under stress.

3. Battery Life

Fast charging is available but the battery life is good as it will last you almost a day on a single charge. Having said that, if you compare it to peers like Realme GT 2 the latter one offers better battery life than Xiaomi 11T Pro.

4. No IP68 Rating

If you are an Adventure enthusiast who can’t stay away from his/her phone, it’s not a phone for you. The Xiaomi 11T Pro has no IP68 rating against water and dust so it might be a good enough reason why you shouldn’t buy this smartphone.
