Xbox Series X price in India notched up by Microsoft; now costs Rs. 52,990

Xbox Series X will now cost Rs 3,000 costlier than the old price.

Microsoft has increased the price of the Xbox Series X gaming console for the Indian market. The Series X model will retail in the country at Rs 52,990 which was previously selling at its launched price of Rs 49,990. This makes a hike of 6% to the original price of the Xbox Series X.

Xbox Series X price surge in India

With the hike in the price of Xbox Series X, we are likely to see a surge in the prices of its peripherals in the future. However, the company has not mentioned any specific reason for the increase in the price of the gaming console. Though fluctuating exchange rate of Indian Rupees against USD is believed to be the reason behind this step. 

If you are unaware, there was an upsurge in the price of Xbox Series S recently from Rs 34,990 to Rs 36,990. At the same time, the company had also increased the prices of its peripherals. The Xbox Wireless Controller now retails at Rs 5,590 from Rs 5,390 and the headset goes to Rs 9,490 from the old price of Rs 8,990.

Microsoft has been selling Xbox Series X in India through Flipkart and Reliance Digital as its retail partners. While the new pricing of the console has not yet changed but it is not available on both platforms either. It is believed that the Series X will be tagged with the new price whenever listed on the channels. 

Xbox Series S | X

Prepaid Gamers, on the other hand, has listed the Xbox Series X console on its platform with the new price of Rs 52,990 and is available for purchase. The other model i.e. Series X console is also available at a discounted price of Rs 32,499.

Xbox Series X Highlights

Xbox Series X is currently the flagship console developed by Microsoft based on AMD’s Zen 2 and RDNA 2 architecture offering true 4K gaming and support for up to 120 FPS and 8K HDR resolution. For the performance, it includes 12 teraflops of processing power with 16GB GDDR6 RAM and 1TB of PCle Gen 4 NVME SSD storage. It also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for visual and audio.
