All the users who have already switched to Windows 11 may soon get a Tabs feature for the Notepad application in 2023. According to the latest reports, the feature is being tested within the premises of Microsoft.

It is being said that a Microsoft employee posted a screenshot of the feature accident on Twitter. The tweet has already been removed from the platform, but the information was already seen by Windows Central. Previously, Microsoft released the tabs for File Explorer, and now Notepad is going to be the first inbuilt application to get the feature.

Speculations are that the tabs feature will see the rollout in the first quarter of the year 2023. The feature was explored for all Windows 10 applications four years ago in the past but was never released due to some internal reasons. Now, finally, after a long wait, we will get to see the feature in the in-built applications of Windows 11.

What else is brewing?

Apart from the tabs feature, Microsoft has also started testing Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) on Windows 11. The WSA will allow Windows 11 to support the operations of Android 13 via a beta release. Microsoft announced the same through an official GitHub discussion thread. The Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) will be available for the people who have signed up for the Windows Subsystem for Android Preview Program.

The feature will be rolled out globally with nine performance improvements and fixes in the latest Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) update for the Android 13 OS support on Windows 11. The latest update will carry version number 2211.40000.7.0. Not only this, but it is also being said that the latest version will improve the boot speed by up to 50 per cent.
