WhatsApp, one of the most popular instant messaging applications, keeps bringing new features for the users to enhance the experience. Now, the application is all set to make it better for iOS users. The beta version of WhatsApp for iOS is getting a new feature that will allow the users to view status updates in the chat itself. The feature is currently available only for a handful of beta testers.

The beta version 22.18.0.70 has the new feature on board and it is being tested on multiple iPhones. A screenshot shared by WBinfo shows that if any of your contacts share a status then it will be shown in the chat list along with being viewable too. The users will be able to finalize if they want to see the status in the chat list or not.

Considering the fact that the feature is only available for a few accounts until now, there is no confirmation regarding if and when the feature will be rolled out for the masses. So, if you are someone who has not got the feature in the beta version then you should wait a little bit as the feature could be rolled out for the generic beta version.

What else is brewing up?

Not only this but WhatsApp is also prepping up to drop a feature that will allow the users to get the deleted messages back in a chat. This feature is going to be beneficial for a lot of us in a lot of ways. For example, if you delete a crucial message by someone and now you are unable to retrieve it, imagine getting the message back in the chat, songs satisfying rights. The functionality will be rolled out in the future

In addition, the meta-owned platform is also working on functionality that will allow the users that will hide the number of the user from unknown contacts. As of now, this feature is being tested for WhatsApp for Android only. These are a couple of features that are being tested right now for the stable rollout. However, it will be interesting to see which ones get official.
