WhatsApp Rolls-out its Business App for SMEs in India

WhatsApp, an instant messaging service, finally launched its much-awaited Business App in India. The application for smartphones allows SMEs and other large groups to use the popular messaging platform, WhatsApp, to communicate with their clients and customers.

The new app will allow business groups to create their profile on WhatsApp. This will include their description, email IDs, store address, and website that ultimately help customers to know about the firm.

Use dedicated business number to register

You can’t use your messaging number on business app simultaneously. Meaning you should to have two sperate number for business and personal messaging.

We tried our hands on the WhatsApp Business App with our WhatsApp Messenger number and got this message, “This phone is currently registered with WhatsApp Messenger and can’t be used in WhatsApp Business at the same time. Would you like to continue and move this phone number to WhatsApp Business?”

WhatsApp Business App Features

The WhatsApp Business will make it easier for people to connect with them, and vice versa, in a fast and simple way.

For companies, the app features smart messaging tools to let businesses use quick replies and give fast answers to frequently asked questions. The app also includes options for greeting messages for new customers, and away messages that let them know you’re busy.

The app will notify people when they are talking to a business group. And, Over time, some business group will have a Confirmed Accounts once their account phone number matches a business phone number.

“People can continue using WhatsApp as usual – there’s no need to download anything new. And people will continue to have full control over the messages they receive, with the ability to block any number, including businesses, as well as report spam,” the company said in a blog post.

The aim of dedicated WhatsApp Business app is to have a business presence on a platform with over a billion users worldwide. As of now, the service is only available for Android users and there are no words when it is going to available for iOS. You can access the WhatsApp Business app on your PC as well.
