Vivo Z1x is officially launched today as the second phone from the recently born Z-series in India. It comes with a 48MP camera led trifecta at the back. Upfront, you get an AMOLED display with an underlying fingerprint sensor. It is powered by a Snapdragon 712 chipset, just like the Z1 Pro. Likewise, it is similar yet different from the Z1 Pro in more ways than you think. The latter, as you recall had debuted back in July.

That said, let’s get into the features of the Vivo Z1X.

Vivo Z1X highlights

Vivo Z1X has a 6.38 inch AMOLED display, with an under-display fingerprint scanner. You get a 32MP sensor within a waterdrop slit at the top of the screen. The rear camera arrangement includes a 48MP primary shooter along with an 8MP 13mm Ultrawide sensor and a 5MP depth sensor.

Vivo Z1X vs Vivo Z1 Pro

It ships with a Snapdragon 712 SoC, teamed with 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB storage, a 4500mAh battery with support for a 22.5W fast charger. The software is Android 9 based Funtouch OS. Rest of the hardware includes a USB Type-C port, dual SIM card slots, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It comes in Phantom Purple and Fusion Blue colors.

Vivo Z1X vs Vivo Z1 Pro

The AMOLED display and the embedded fingerprint scanner are new in the Z1X. Vivo goes for a waterdrop notch with this one, while the Z1 Pro paraded a punch-hole. This one has a smaller screen as well. Thanks to this and a slightly petite battery, the phone feels more handy.

Further, this is the first affordable Vivo Phone in India to support HD streaming out of the box and also the first affordable Vivo Phone to wield a USB Type-C port.

Under the hood, the processor stays the same as Snapdragon 712. However, the accompanying memory configuration is changed. The Z1X has a sole 6GB RAM option. The rear camera gets an upgrade with a primary 48MP sensor. Lastly, this one lacks a microSD card expansion and bears a smaller 4500mAh battery which is backed by a 22.5W fast charging.
