The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has really up its game. First, the Vivo X100 Pro (review) blew away reviewers and enthusiasts with its cameras, and then the X Fold3 Pro (review) outdid its competition with superior hardware and optimized software. Now, the company seems to have turned its attention toward the next brick-style flagship, the Vivo X200 Pro.
If all goes well, the phone should come out in December 2024 or January 2025. Nonetheless, for now, a tipster seems to have divulged some information about the X100 Pro’s worthy successor.

Vivo X200 Pro To Run On Dimensity 9400 SoC

Reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed that the Vivo X200 Pro will ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC. For those catching up, the chipset isn’t announced yet; it could come out on November 1, 2024. According to rumors, the processor features a 3nm fabrication technology, which should increase its efficiency over the last iteration that powers the Vivo X100 Pro.
The tipster says the purported smartphone’s screen could sport a 1.5K resolution panel with narrow bezels and a slightly curved screen. However, Digital Chat Station doesn’t seem to be clear about the screen’s size: it could either be a 6.7-inch or a 6.8-inch screen. Speaking of the fingerprint scanner on the phone, the tipster mentions about a single-point ultrasonic in-display sensor.

Regarding optics, the smartphone could come with a new triple camera system, which includes a periscope sensor, just like the Vivo X100 Pro. Since the smartphone did really well on our blind camera test, we have high hopes for its successor’s cameras. Last but not least, the Vivo X200 Pro could come with a new silicon battery, likely one with a 6,000 mAh capacity.
