Vivo has successfully concluded its flagship lineup for 2025 with the introduction of the X200 Ultra model, and attention will now turn to foldable devices. The company intends to unveil the successor to the Vivo X Fold 3, which may be named Vivo X Fold 4 or Vivo X Fold 5, depending on Vivo’s naming conventions, as the number 4 is occasionally omitted due to cultural beliefs in China. Preliminary information regarding the upcoming foldable from Vivo has emerged online, suggesting it will feature enhanced capabilities.

Vivo X Fold 4/Vivo X Fold 5: Details Tipped

Tipster Digital Chat Station claims that a new foldable is on track for a Q3 launch. Although the name of the device hasn’t been confirmed, but it will most likely be Vivo’s next foldable. DCS claims that the foldable will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which will be a jump from Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in Vivo X Fold 3. It might pack a larger battery too.

Vivo X Fold 4/ Vivo X Fold: Rumored Specs

Early details claim that the foldable might pack a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a periscope style telephoto camera, and support for wireless charging. It will launch in Q3 2025 and feature a large AMOLED screen with high refresh rate and sleek bezels. The foldable is expected to get a sophisticated hinge design with reduced crease and better durability.

In terms of camera sensors, it is claimed to get a 50MP primary, 50MP telephoto and an ultrawide sensor at the back. Under the hood might be a 6000mAh battery and it will be IPX8 rated for water resistance.

Although a Pro variant hasn’t been mentioned yet, but if the brand goes by the playbook, then Vivo X Fold 4 Pro/5 Pro might be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
