Vivo V9 which made headlines for its notched display is scheduled to arrive in India on March 27. The firm has started rolling out the press invite for the same. The Vivo V9 will succeed the V7 (review) which had a bezel-less screen and whopping 24-megapixel front camera.

Vivo V9 Features (Expected)

The Vivo V9 is going to be another Android phone with the iPhone X-like notch, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It was confirmed by a billboard that was put up in Indonesia. Asus has adopted the notch on its Zenfone 5 and Huawei, LG, OnePlus and others will join the club very soon.

Coming back to Vivo V9, if you look at the below image closely, it revealed that the phone features a large display with a notch, rounded corners and minimal bezels surrounding it. The notch is where you will find the alleged 24MP selfie camera and other sensors.

The billboard didn’t show the flip side of the phone so it will be interesting to see where the fingerprint sensor will be placed or whether the phone will come with in-display fingerprint sensor or capacitative one on the back.

Unfortunately, the Vivo V9 hoarding is only a teaser and does not divulge much about it innards. If rumour mills are to be believed, the Vivo V9 will come with a dual camera setup at the rear.

Other speculations made about the device are a 6.2-inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 mobile chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. It is expected to come running on Android Oreo out-of-the-box.

Vivo V9 Price (Expected)

Vivo is expected to launch its V9 at a mid-range segment, much like the V7, which means it should ideally cost you around Rs 25,000.
