Vivo has been bringing some excellent innovations and exciting phones to India lately. Vivo V9, launched earlier this year, was the first Android phone with a display notch to hit retail shelves in the country. The Vivo X21 was the first phone in India with an In-Display Fingerprint Scanner. And the Vivo Nex was a unique and aggressively priced phone that offered a mesmerizing full view screen with a pop-up camera.
This pretty much explains why we are super excited about the next-in-line Vivo V11 Pro that will launch in India on September 6, 2018. The V11 Pro reportedly combines all of these innovations at a very competitive price.
Here are a few things to look forward to about Vivo V11 Pro:
In-Display Fingerprint Scanner
The fingerprint sensors are best suited on the front but the popularity of full-view screens has shifted the biometric reader to the rear. Well, the In-Display fingerprint Scanner, that currently is available only on Vivo phones in India, let’s you enjoy the best of both worlds.
We have experienced the sensor on other Vivo phones, and once you have done that, it’s hard to go back. More importantly, Vivo has improved the sensor performance and consistency substantially with every generation. The Vivo V11 Pro is expected to take it to the next level.
2PD and Dual Camera
Just as the camera on the Vivo X21, the V11 Pro will also benefit from 2PD technology for the primary rear camera sensor. In simpler terms, each pixel on the V11 Pro camera sensor will act as two individual pixels and this enables the camera to capture better details and it also improves focus speed significantly.
Water-drop Notch
The Vivo V11 Pro will reportedly resort to a minimal water-drop notch. The cut-out will house only the selfie camera, which means you will still have all the space for your status bar icons and will be able to enjoy an almost full-view screen with a staggering screen-to-body ratio.
Of course, the new notch is also stylish and will keep you up with the modern trends.
IR Face Access
Face Access on Vivo phones have always been remarkably fast. It’s impressive that Vivo could add the additional sensor even with so little free space available on the top bezel. With IR tech, Vivo has taken the face unlock to a new benchmark in terms of speed and low-light accessibility.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 is one of the most popular mid-range chipsets these days. That’s because it is truly capable of delivering a high-end experience and driving even the most demanding of applications without breaking a sweat.
The mobile platform is based on power-efficient 14nm process and includes 4 customized high-end Kryo-260 cores in the performance cluster. The list of other SoC components is fairly impressive too. You get X12 LTE modem with Dual SIM Dual VoLTE support, Adreno 506GPU, and the high-end Spectra 160 ISP.
The 2PD tech worked magically for the Vivo X21 giving it a well-defined edge over its competitors. Also, the Vivo V11 Pro has dual rear cameras to facilitate those creamy bokeh shots.
The Vivo V11 Pro is quite exciting, actually!
The Vivo V11 Pro looks like another step in the right direction. The global smartphone manufacturer has slowly and steadily consolidated its position in India and now leads in the price segment ranging from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000. The handset will go official next week on September 6, and we are definitely more than enthusiastic.
Water drop notch, Oppo is the first mover for this unique notch.
